VideoCaps

VideoCaps Terms of Use

Effective date: 24 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of VideoCaps (“we”, “us”) about the VideoCaps app and the caption service behind it. By using VideoCaps you agree to them.

1. Licence: Apple’s standard EULA

VideoCaps is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the licence of the app, and these terms apply to the caption service, your account and subscriptions.

2. Your account

You need an account to use VideoCaps. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

3. Your videos and captions

Your content. Your videos, audio and captions remain yours. You give us permission to process the audio you upload only to make your captions and run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your rights to it. You are responsible for having the right to use the videos, music, logos and other material you edit, and for having the consent of people who appear or speak in them where the law requires it.

Accuracy. Captions are made by automatic speech recognition. They can contain mistakes, especially with noise, accents or several languages in one clip. Check them before you publish, and don’t rely on them where an error could cause harm.

4. Free plan, VideoCaps Pro and subscriptions

Free plan. VideoCaps is free to download and use with:

VideoCaps Pro adds 10 hours of captions each calendar month, every caption style, export without the VideoCaps mark, and motion tools on every export, as described in the app.

Caption minutes. Minutes are counted in seconds of audio successfully transcribed and reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused minutes don’t carry over. Transcriptions that fail are not counted.

Buying Pro.

Free trial. The yearly plan may start with a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, it turns into a paid yearly subscription, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is lost when you buy a subscription.

Managing and refunds. Manage or cancel a subscription on your iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Apple handles refunds under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting your account or the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Prices. We may change prices. Apple will tell you before a change applies to your subscription, and will ask for your consent where required.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t:

We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these rules.

6. Third-party services

VideoCaps works with services we don’t control, and their terms apply to your use of them:

7. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Changes and ending

Changes to VideoCaps. We may change, suspend or stop any part of VideoCaps. If we stop offering Pro features you’ve paid for, you may be entitled to a refund under Apple’s policies or the law.

Changes to these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll say so in the app before the change takes effect.

Ending this agreement. You can end it at any time by deleting your account and the app.

9. Disclaimers and liability

VideoCaps is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that captions will be accurate. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for VideoCaps in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. You may bring a claim in the courts of your own country where the law allows it.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for VideoCaps or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Standard EULA and may enforce it against you.
