Support
Write to support@videocaps.app. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version, and attach the clip if a saved video looks wrong. We usually answer within a day.
Captions
Captions take a while to appear
VideoCaps uploads the clip’s audio and waits for the transcript. A long clip or a slow connection takes longer. If our server can’t be reached, the app can write captions on the iPhone instead, after a one-time model download.
A word is wrong
Tap the word in the editor to fix it. Words the transcription wasn’t sure about are marked, so you can review them first.
The language is wrong
Choose the language for the video before you make captions. Pick Mixed when the speaker switches between Ukrainian and English.
Ukrainian letters look different from the style
Some display fonts have no Cyrillic letters. VideoCaps then uses the closest font that has them, in the editor and in the saved video alike.
Caption minutes
The free plan has 10 minutes of captions a month, and Pro has 10 hours. Minutes count the audio that was transcribed, and reset on the 1st of each month. A transcription that fails isn’t counted. When minutes run out, you can still edit and export the videos you have.
Exports
Where is my video?
In Photos. After saving you can also share it, save it to Files, or share the captions as an .srt file.
The saved video looks different from the editor
It shouldn’t, so we want to see it. Send us the clip and a screenshot of the editor.
Account
You sign in with Apple, Google or email. Your videos and projects stay on your iPhone; the account holds your plan and caption minutes.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Settings › Account › Delete Account. Your account, uploaded audio and transcripts are deleted from our servers right away. Projects on your iPhone stay until you delete the app. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Subscriptions
Payments go through your Apple Account. To cancel or change a plan, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple handles refunds, not us. On a new iPhone, sign in to the same account and tap Restore on the Pro screen.
